Pageant Media’s annual Pension Bridge conference ordinarily brings together around 1,000 investors, consultants and asset managers each year in, what is considered to be, the most sought after event in the industry calendar. The challenge in 2020 however was to create a virtual program for the event that not only brought the usual 400+ pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, and consultants together, but also helped celerate the 15th year of the event without compromise.
The usual 2 days of high quality presentations, panels and networking for 500 attendees was rethought, and instead a 5-day experience on Swapcard was devised and delivered. Four content sessions each day were interspersed with prearranged 1-1 video meetings between delegates.
The team at Experience delivered the content sessions. Our solution successfully ensured that every one of the 65 speakers were able to appear on screen to take part in live panel discussions – not an easy task considering speakers were spread around the world, all with completely different set-ups. Our worked tirelessly in the run up to the event, running test calls to ensure everything went smoothly the week of the event.
Our design team also created on-screen visuals that included sponsor logos and bottom thirds, as well as live mixing each session, with the output streamed to Vimeo which was then embedded into the Swapcard platform. The result was a slick content programme worthy of the conference, which kept the audience engaged over the week as well as providing the event sponsors with valuable branding opportunities. Each session was also recorded and packaged up as a stand-alone video, enabling our client to use this as both on-demand content and marketing collateral for next year’s (hopefully live) event.
“It was a joy to work with Experience on this project. As ever, I felt that they understood exactly what was needed to produce the event to the highest standard. Their combination of technical expertise, attention to detail and flexibility meant that I was able to completely trust them to deliver.” – Alex Hazell, Head of Events
